It’s quite a vicious circle. We’re shy and introverted and get uncomfortable in certain situations and since we’re shy and introverted, we don’t talk about it. So, we think we’re the only ones so, of course , yet again, we don’t talk about it.

I’m done with that.

The Well

We have a well of information and examples available to us if we ask. So, I’m asking. Each Monday, I’ll bring you an interview with someone who has overcome a part of their shyness or is working with their introversion to create their best life.

This week we have Patty K, who realized that she wanted more to her life than staying in all the time started pushing the edges her comfort zone. Recently, Patty figured out that she’s just not shy anymore and is taking her business in an entirely new direction. In our interview we talk about her original motivation, her first and favorite experiences with speaking, and being petted.

Interview with Patty K Approximately 34 min.

In the comments:

We’re being open here, sharing and saying things we don’t always say out loud. What helps: Sharing your stories and Ideas. Cheering and telling what works/worked for you. What hurts: shoulds, harshness, and such. (I used to teach first grade, I can’t help it.)

Now I want to pet Patti and stroke Kathryn’s hair! Great interview, ladies. I can so relate, especially to initiating phone calls. I have a fear of that and paperwork, a malady I call phone-o-forma-phobia.

Not sure if I should meow or bark. :)

On the upside, initiating phone calls seems to be going out of style. I find the “set a time and date for the call via email first” routine to be much, much easier than calling out of the blue.

You already have permission on the hair since I told you about the no shampoo, just baking soda thing. :)

Oof, when I have to do the phone or form thing now, I push it to One Tiny Thing Thursday, if I can. Such ick.

Yay! I had fun too. Looking forward to seeing where your new direction leads you.
